About the PastorPastor Daniel was born in Slough, Buckinghamshire, England (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slough ). He immigrated to the USA in 1968 and became a U.S. citizen in 1977. Pastor Daniel grew up in Rochester, NY ( www.visitrochester.com ). He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at 15 years old and was baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 16. He heard the call to serve the Lord, upon completing High School, at age 18. Pastor Daniel completed his Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Religion/Philosophy at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York with a minor in Psychology ( www.roberts.edu ). He completed his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree at Colgate Rochester Divinity School, also in Rochester ( www.crcds.edu ), and his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree in 21 st Century Postmodern Leadership at Drew University Theological School in Madison, New Jersey ( www.drew.edu/theo.aspx ). His doctoral dissertation was entitled, “Wandering Into Community: Celtic Christian Spirituality as a Way of Evangelising Neo-Pagan People Groups Resident in Great Britain.” He is a ‘first-career' pastor. Dr. Meister, an Anglo-American, has been passionately involved in pastoral work for 18 years in a variety of ministry settings including New York, Ohio, Massachusetts, and, most recently, with The United Reformed Church in the Northeast of Great Britain ( www.urc.org.uk ). Daniel is an Explorer in the Community of St. Aidan and Hilda (a Celtic Christian community, see www.aidanandhilda.org.uk for more information). Dr. Meister is also an online seminar faculty member of the Wayne E. Oates Institute ( www.oates.org ) in Lexington, KY. Dr. Meister's specialty concentrates on models of growth using Celtic Christian Spirituality and Natural Church Development (NCD, www.ncd-international.org/public ). This model focuses primarily on process, community, charismatic spirituality, accountability, mission, and the organic nature of the church. This ‘way' of being church differs from other models of growth because it emphasizes roots, rhythms, and our relationship to the Holy Trinity. Pastor Daniel enjoys reading, writing, gardening, traveling, swimming, stamp collecting, Celtic art, postmodern movies, classical, and classic-rock music. His greatest weaknesses are Robertson's Orange Marmalade and peanut butter sandwiches, but not the two together! He has been married to Janet for 22 years. They have one daughter, Brittany, and reside in the Greater Cincinnati area ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cincinnati,_Ohio ). Daniel was both called and sent by the Lord to serve Zion Church in August 2006 and was installed on Sunday, March 25 th 2007.
