Zion Church News and Articles

There is always something going on at Zion Church and with our congregation. Here's the latest news and articles.

Recycling Update

Thanks to all who have brought in newspapers for recycling. Unfortunately, we have been informed by the city of Norwood, that our recycle dumpster is in violation of a city sanitation code. The income from our recycling does not nearly cover what it would cost us to bring the recycle bin up to code. (Holy Trinity has also had to remove their bin.) Therefore, we are having the paper recycling bin removed. We hope that you will continue to recycle your paper at another location; you can find locations near you at PaperRetriever.com.

Holistic Small Groups

At the end of September 2007, Zion Church began, in coordination with the processes of Natural Church Development, the creation of Holistic Small Groups. This initiative is built upon the belief that a person's faith in Jesus Christ cannot grow or become truly meaningful based upon the experience of Sunday worship alone. At the end of August 2007, the leaders of Zion Church received extensive training on how to facilitate Holistic Small Groups within our congregation. At present 11 Holistic Small Groups exist and are offered at a variety of times & places each month. There's even one offered for Youth. Please contact our Church Office and speak to Linda Read to learn of times and locations that best suit your schedule: (513) 531-5400. Why not join a Holistic Small Group today? Learn more about Zion's Holistic Small Groups on our Groups webpage.
